An Event to Celebrate Our Veterinary Community
Appreciation Dinner & Fundraising Raffle on October 17, 2024
There is a time in all of our lives where we could use a helping hand. That’s why Animal Emergency Care has come together with Shadow’s Forever Friends to raise enough funds to keep The Zoe Fund accessible to families in need of assistance for years to come. To help achieve this dream, AEC and SFF host this annual Appreciation Dinner and Fundraising Raffle for the veterinary community. We are grateful to the many incredible animal welfare professionals providing care to the pets of Island, Skagit, and Whatcom Counties. This event provides an opportunity to celebrate these extraordinary individuals with a night of music, drinks, and food at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. A fundraising raffle also presents our guests with the opportunity to win wonderful prizes from expenses-paid getaways to dog toys and everything in between.
Our pets are our family. That wagging tail or purring headbutt has the power to lift us and comfort us, to make us feel loved and cared for - to bring us joy. In return we lavish our pets with affection, and we do our best to keep them happy and healthy. For many families though, even emergency care for their animals can seem out of reach. That’s where The Zoe Fund comes in! Through this fund, sponsored by non-profit Shadow’s Forever Friends, critical care is made available to families experiencing economic hardship. Active in our community in other ways as well, SFF also assists in funding free veterinary wellness clinics, including full physical exams and vaccinations, for the Lummi Nation and the unhoused. Our organizations believe in promoting love, empathy, and education through outreach, emergency support, and advocacy. Together, we can make a lasting impact by providing timely support in times of hardship to all members of our community - human, canine, and feline alike.
* All of the money raised by raffle ticket sales at this event will go directly to The Zoe Fund to help fund future Pet Emergencies and Community Wellness Clinics - Skip the registration line by purchasing raffle tickets online in advance!
